Pontypridd U9’s 15 Ystrad Rhondda 5 Ponty’s first game of 2008 saw them travel to Ystrad Rhondda in a re-arranged match after their original opponents Rhiwbina withdrew in mid-week. The recent spate of bad weather meant the boys hadn’t played a competitive match since 16 December, whilst Ystrad had been playing well with some fine victories this season, most recently last weekend against Mountain Ash.
