Page 1 of 2 In what was always going to be a tough match, Pontypridd's League dream went up in smoke in a nail biting home game. And to be fair, the boys played well having the disadvantage of Nigel Whitehouse as a referee who seems to have a dislike for the House of Pain. Neath on the other hand have won the league for the third time in a row. Injury time seemed to go on for an age (and the clock read at least 10 minutes extra time), giving Neath the chance to drop a goal that put them 2 points ahead. It looks as though the WRU are impervious to IRB diktat of keeping the game times to a minimum. But besides this, there was nothing else that could have fared Pontypridd better. Both sides missed a couple of kicks, and both sides desperately wanted the win. Lady luck was just not wearing the Ponty strip. Not that she was wearing the Neath strip either, unlike Mr Whitehouse.
