Page 2 of 2 The fight to the finish is in full swing after Saturday's exciting match at Sardis Road. Pontypridd gave guile and grit in spades to keep a resurgent Ebbw Vale at bay. The usual tactic of keeping the pressure up with clever play well into the final quarter gave Pontypridd a much needed win against the current first place holders, Ebbw Vale. There are only 4 points difference, and Ponty have a game in hand. However, Pontypridd have tough games ahead. Llanelli and Neath both visit Sardis in the coming weeks, and if Pontypridd can clinch victories they will put space between both close rivals. Obviously, Ebbw Vale need to lose a few as well, and their recent form does not indicate that they are as strong as the first half of the season. Maybe luck will go our way and the title will be covered in the glorious colours of Black and White (and Red?). Western Mail Report
