Page 1 of 2 In what has now become a semi-traditional "let's kick the kids" affair, the Cardiff Blues beat Pontypridd pretty convincingly 0-47 at Sardis Road this Wednesday. The only ray of light for anyone not supporting Cardiff, was the lack of discipline that led to the visitors having only 13 men towards the end of the match, but even this did not provide the platform for the home side to cross the try line. For a full match report, check out Ponty.net. Most importantly for the home side, a large gate and full bar meant that the Ponty coffers were filled, why bother to turn up to a game which had such and inevitable conclusion. Much talk was made of a good atmosphere, but this seems more akin to saying "this is our lot and we may-as-well grin and bare it". Once again, players that Pontypridd have brought through lined up in the opposition's colours. We may see some of these players in a Pontypridd strip this season on the odd match, but the whole thing doesn't sit well with me.
