Volunteers are needed to carry out essential repair and improvement work on the Ponty Mini & Juniors' home base of Taff Vale Park. The park is now a vital commodity for the club, where the kids train regularly through the week, and hosting home games on the weekend. Some tlc is needed to upgrade the park to the standard required. The main items of work which need to be done are: Fit remaining shutters to containers. Erect new gates to stop unauthorised vehicle entry. Repair fences to stop unauthorised vehicle entry. Fit electrical sockets etc in Canteen Container ( The Ritz ) Clear litter from the site/field. Run an electric supply etc to refurbished container. ( for future fitment of shower/wash hand basin etc) plumbing assistance with the above. The work can be done either by volunteer helpers, or if necessary, reasonable rates can be offered to local tradesmen. We would also be appreciative of any business or individual who would like to donate or provide sponsorship towards the running, building and repair costs of the park. Anyone interested in helping out, or who know someone who can give assistance, please contact Martyn Lewis on 07798683057 or Mark Langford on 07773 350953. Users of the Taff Vale Park are requested to make sure that the park gates are locked shut upon leaving, as any more vehicle damage to the pitch will ruin the surface over the coming months. Residents in the vicinity are urged to call 999 immediately if they see any vehicles causing criminal damage to the playing surface. We also request that all dog walkers who pass through the park, to please keep their animals off the playing fields or at least clean up any mess they make. It could be your son, nephew or grandson who could suffers blindness or illness affter landing in the mess... We request that anyone seen allowing their pets to foul on the playing fields be reported to ourselves or the relevant agency. Add as favourites (28) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 1306
