We don't need to to say much else about the superb display by Pontypridd last Saturday down at St Helens. Pontypridd romped ahead with a 39:22 victory to cement them at the top of the table.
And that was after giving Swansea an easy final try when our boys had done what was needed. It may have helped Swansea realise that they have the men to score points, but it meant the the confidence in the Ponty squad gained another boost.
The view from the sidelines was...long. And the complete lack of atmosphere during the first 30 minutes did nothing to quell the growing anticipation amongst the Pontypridd supporters. And to the eyes of SKiNFreak, there were a significant proportion of Ponty supporters compared to the All Whites clan who stayed nice and dry under the new, but decidedly bland stand over the other side.
It couldn't do the local supporters much good to come back to a ground that to all intents-and-purposes looked like Baghdad on a good day, especially during the "will it or won't it rain" weather that we are getting used to seeing on matchday.
Another win, and the Black & White Army marches back home. And now it's time for a bit of revenge against those young Turks...
