North Wales XV 20 - 27 Pontypridd 

As agreed beforehand the match was played in three 30 minute segments as per district development matches. Pontypridd started with the probables who took a first third lead of 17-3, then the possibles played the middle period for a 17-10 lead, before the more senior players wrapped it up 27-20 on what was an extremely hot afternoon and a good run out for the lads. The North Wales squad done themselves and their region proud with a strong performance that threatened the Pontypridd lead on several occassions.
