First formed in 1869 and later on several old boys from Cheltenham college named the club Grasshoppers developed from a game in the college  between the Firefly's v Grasshoppers still being played today. The club has produced some notable internationals for England in recent times Wade Dooley,Paul Grayston,Will Greenwood and Steve Bothwick. The lads who are touring your club have 5 Lancashire players and 1 Welsh Exile who have won through to the semi finals of the Lancashire Cup.
