PONTYPRIDD 3 - 52 BEDWAS

Ponty struggled to find any continuity in this their first match of the season against a very strong Bedwas side that contained several Dragons players. With several key players missing and despite several good individual performances, Ponty looked a shadow of the team that ended last season, though take nothing away from the opposition who looked extremely sharp having played several matches already this season.  Hopefully with the return of several key players in the coming days the Upstarts can rediscover the form that got them promoted seven divisions before the season and league matches begin in earnest?
