Xmas Party? PDF Print E-mail
Written by Neil Hughes
Monday, 21 November 2005

As your aware, Christmas is approaching and unfortunately at present there is nothing arranged for the under 12's as they are now a seperate entity to the mini section and we would like to do something about it.

There is no game for the under 12's on Sunday the 18th so this would be a good time to hold any event... Current suggestions are:

Bowling [around £5.50 pp with kids meal & up to 2 hours play] @ Tonyrefail

Disco at The Lodge in Porth [£150 for the hall for as long as we want - around £6.00 per family, but we will have to provide our own buffett & Disco or pay extra '£100' for them to put on disco]

Watch Ospreys game [£18 one adult & one child]

If you have any suggestions please let us know...

We need to know as soon as possible what players/members of their families would be interested in attending and please give any ideas of venues etc. Depending on chosen event, we may also need parents to volunteer to help supervise the kids.

Anyone out there who may be able to provide an appropriate and local  venue, the gesture would be greatly appreciated.  As would any professional players who would be willing to give their time to help make it a day to remember for the kids.

Could you please let us know by contacting Sam on 01443 402861 or myself on This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Thank you

Pontypridd Lose the game, but not their pride. PDF Print E-mail

Under 12’s Llantwit Fardre 12 – 7 Pontypridd

This was a difficult fixture for Pontypridd with the previous four games having been cancelled, this young Pontypridd side had not played for almost five weeks and they were facing a team that forms the nucleus of the Pontypridd district team.  But despite facing more than a dozen district players they were not outclassed, on the contrary they were probably the better team on the day and were unfortunate to lose.

Under 12’s Bridgend Athletic 43 - 0 Pontypridd [Sunday 9th October 2005]

It was always going to be difficult a difficult fixture for this developing Pontypridd team against an excellent Bridgend Athletics team who form the core of a very successful Bridgend districts team. The game became a tale of two half's with Pontypridd barely getting a touch for most the first half, but tactical and positional changes at half time saw a much improved performance during the second half.
