A dazzling performance from the boys this week saw them put their best efforts by far against one of the best teams we've played against. With a total of seven turnovers, the boys were on fire as they tagged anything in sight. The new recruit Samuel put in 110% effort and got some great tags. A typical Rhodri Smith darting run saw him jinking in and out of the defence as he ran over for the first try of the day. Not to be out done, Owain sprinted around the entire defence and got a well deserved try in the corner. A series of great passes and catches followed, showing the boys' confidence with the ball. This allowed Lucas to sprint through and dab the ball down in the corner. As well as attacking, Lucas put in a brilliant length of the pitch run to tag a Nelson player before they scored, although quick passing allowed Neslon to run over for a well deserved score. Lucas opened up the scoring in the second half when he literally flew down the touchline for a great try, only stopping to turn off his jet powered boots. Mason quickly capitalised on his trade mark dummy and ran over for a good try. Dafydd Smith got the try of the game when he darted through the entire defence and sprinted as fast as he could for the line, but with two Nelson players chasing him the race was on. The line seemed ages away and he drifted accross to the near corner, hoping to find that last bit of 'go' in his legs. His legs held up and he touched down with Nelson just inches away from his tags. Brilliant !!

A really well played game by the Development today saw a lot of improvement from everyone. There were good periods of play where their passing, tagging and running all came off brilliantly. One of these plays allowed Iwan Cavil to go over for a try in the corner. Some more great passing by Rhodri Smith created the right amount of space for Josh Barnes to run over for a great team try. The second half started with a bang as Gruffydd Lloyd and Owain Morris scored within minutes of each other.
The game was neck and neck, with Ponty scoring, then Nelson equalising and vice versa. The last try was created by strong running from Jay Jones who was tagged inches from the line and popped the ball out to Iwan Cavil who went over for his thrid try of the day. Tag of the match goes to Gruffyd Lloyd who tagged a Nelson player as he was sprinting down the touchline for a try. The only thing was that Gruffyd wasn't actually playing at this point, he was a substitute on the touchline!! The ref gave the try to Nelson (rightly so). The ref deserves a mention as he was one of the best we've had, always eager to coach the boys and pass on advice. Well done boys!
