Pontypridd star Brent Cockbain showed his colours last Saturday as he took to the pitch for the Barbarians in their stunning 22-5 win over World Champions South Africa. The BBC reports that he wore Pontypridd socks on the field in respect to the start the Sardis Road gave him as a rugby player.

Cockbain mentioned wearing Pontypridd socks "wasn't a snub to the Ospreys or anyone else, Pontypridd was the start of big things for me and it was a real honour to play for them."
