After years of waiting, the valleys finally have a pofessional rugby team playing at the highest level to represent them, as the Celtic Crusaders are awarded Super League status...
So finally the valleys are reresented in Europe and worldwide at the highest level, after years of waiting for the Union to realise the potential of the valleys as a hotbed of quality rugby, rugby league has recognised what everyone in Wales (outside of the WRU board) has known for years, that there is potential and room for a professional team in the Valleys. Attendance figures have increased five-fold at the Brewery field in the last three years, as the ignorance of the WRU towards the valleys has driven more and more people to the league game... I for one wish the Crusaders every success as they give one in the eye to the WRU, along with inspiration and hope to youngsters in the valleys who are generally ignored by the WRU.
