Page 1 of 2 Finally Moffet has left, no longer do the WRU have their stubborn rock or fallguy to take the blame for the resentment caused by the unfair enforcement of the superclubs.
Yes he helped stabilise the sinking ship in a financial sea, but he promised regionalism and instead gave franchises to the WRU's favourite clubs. Only the private gentlemens clubs of the city along with some supporters and boardmembers of the superclubs will miss him, the rest of Wales will celebrate his departure. Hopefully this will pave the way for proper regionalism or a return to club rugby in a fairly and equally (i.e. on playing merit not favouritism) reduced Premiership. Now is the time for the valleys supporters to get behind their clubs and push their boards to insist on change. Now is the time when the WRU are most likely to buckle. Now is the time for Pontypridd RFC to lead the way, now is the time for action...
