Page 2 of 2 The first of the 2006/7 season’s Cardiff Blues Community Coaching Clinics will take place on Monday August 7th at Taffs Well RFC starting at 6:45pm. The session is open to anyone interested in developing their coaching skills, with training followed by a Q & A session and a buffet.
Coaches Trystan Bevan, Dan Baugh, David Young and Rob Howley will run sessions based on fitness with the theme being ‘What’s and Why’s of pre season’ which gives an overview of what is going on at the top level and how it can be transferred down in to community rugby teams. This will be followed by a question and answer session in the clubhouse and a buffet will also be provided. The night is open to anyone interested in developing their coaching skills and invitations to attend have been sent out to all 56 clubs within the supposed regional boundary. Last season’s Coaching Clinics were held at Glamorgan Wanderers, Pontypridd RFC and Beddau RFC, these included sessions on the key principles of attack, defence and set pieces. They proved to be very popular and useful for coaches of all levels...
