Page 1 of 2 Friday evening the Dutch kids and escorts will be arriving at Pontypridd Club House at about 17.30pm, there will be a short welcome party for them before they go home with their guest families for dinner.
Saturday morning: Training with Pontypridd players
Saturday Afternoon: WWII memorial
At 12 noon on Saturday 29 April at the new war memorial on Pontypridd Common the Mayors of Pontypridd and Rhondda Cynon Taff will receive a wreath or tribute from the Dukes. Members of the Royal Welsh will provide a Standard Bearer, Bugler and 18 Cadets in uniform. There should be some Press and Radio/TV coverage.
The memorial is a short walk from the main road and after the ceremony 15-30 mins depart to Glamorgan Wanderers by bus 40 mins away.
Saturday afternoon:
Visit Pontypridd match away to Glamorgan Saturday evening: BBQ and party hosted by the Dukes at Sardis Road club house Sunday
Pontypridd tournament at Sardis Road 8’s to 11’s. Other teams are Pontypridd, Treorchy and Nelson.
Older teams playing at Cilfynydd 10am onwards:Pontypridd Under 12’s v Dukes 12/13’sPontypridd 14/15’s v Dukes 15’sPontypridd 16’s v Dukes 17’s Sunday Evening:
Post tournament party in clubhouse Monday morning
Leave for Holland.
