Pontypridd Rugby Mini and Juniors

This is the website of the hugely successful Pontypridd RFC Mini and Junior Section. The mini section is based at Taff Vale Park, Pontypridd. Whilst the Junior Section is also based at Coed-y-lan Playing fields adjacent to Cilfynydd RFC, along with playing matches at Taff Vale Park and Sardis Road. We have a thriving section with successful teams at every age level.

We play matches throughout the UK and are keen to find fixtures with clubs all over the UK, anyone interested should contact Neil Mogford on 01443 650023 or e-mail pontykids@btinternet.com.

Ponty 9’s v Treorchy The weather may have been cold and gloomy but following Wales heroic fight back and victory in Twickenham the mood was distinctly upbeat amongst the Ponty supporters this morning. These two teams had played each other in September and Ponty had won 35 points to nil, so confidence was high the team’s winning ways would be continued. Pontypridd U9’s 15 Ystrad Rhondda 5 Ponty’s first game of 2008 saw them travel to Ystrad Rhondda in a re-arranged match after their original opponents Rhiwbina withdrew in mid-week. The recent spate of bad weather meant the boys hadn’t played a competitive match since 16 December, whilst Ystrad had been playing well with some fine victories this season, most recently last weekend against Mountain Ash.
