Pontypridd Rugby Mini and Juniors

This is the website of the hugely successful Pontypridd RFC Mini and Junior Section. The mini section is based at Taff Vale Park, Pontypridd. Whilst the Junior Section is also based at Coed-y-lan Playing fields adjacent to Cilfynydd RFC, along with playing matches at Taff Vale Park and Sardis Road. We have a thriving section with successful teams at every age level.

We play matches throughout the UK and are keen to find fixtures with clubs all over the UK, anyone interested should contact Neil Mogford on 01443 650023 or e-mail pontykids@btinternet.com.

UNDER 9’s RUGBY PONTPRIDD vs NELSON PONTYPRIDD vs WORCESTER A bright but cloudy spring morning awaited the visit of Nelson and English Premiership giants Worcester to the Taff Vale ground. The Nelson match had been arranged at the start of the season, Worcester was arranged very recently and added an extra twist of excitement to the generally optimistic feelings amongst the Ponty faithful! Last week the boys had shown a tremendous improvement in their win against Abercynon, and now the supporters were eager to see that form carried over to Nelson and then to the Wales v England match against Worcester!! Pontypridd Under 10’s V Abercynon Under 10’s

After another lay off of a couple of weeks due to the bad weather the boys turned up at Coedylan playing fields ready for a tough encounter with Abercynon. Pontypridd’s squad was depleted due to illness and the Easter holidays and were down to a bare 10 whilst Abercynon turned up with 17 boys to choose from.
