I Had A Dream (from Pontypridd Observer, 03/10/06) Last night I had a dream (or maybe, our Turkish cousins down West would say a nightmare!). Llanelli RFC goes bust and Stradey Park is turned into a roller disco with a looping Sospan Fach. Their best players are sold off like meat on Ponty market, most of them to Cardiff and the rest farmed out to Wrexham or Istanbul. Ahh, such a vivid dream, deja-vu in fact... yes, it's almost like we've seen this kind of thing before!? Comments (11) | Add as favourites (32) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 932 |

Who can forget the Dutch Dukes visit to Sardis at the end of last season? The sound of a hundred clogs making their way through the club car park, the abundance of singing and dancing, lets not forget the rugby… They were fantastic ambassadors for Dutch rugby and a good weekend was had by all. Well this coming week please give a warm Ponty welcome to Frank van den Heuvel and Bert Damen, two of the Dukes coaches who return for a busy week and to pay a personal visit to Pontypridd RFC. Why the anger lives on at Ponty They used to pack them into Sardis Road like sardines to see the valley boys of Pontypridd whip the cream of Europe. The town, more than any other, put rock 'n' roll into the Heineken Cup, a fact which had nothing to do with it being the birthplace of Tom Jones. The World of Rugby By PETER JACKSON 27th October 2006 THE DAILY MAIL Comments (11) | Add as favourites (37) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 745 |
